How Phyto Nex AI works with NetSuite
Most mid-market companies sync expenses from Concur, Ramp, or Expensify into NetSuite as expense reports or vendor bills. By the time a line reaches NetSuite, the meal and the bottle of wine are often one amount on one account. Phyto Nex AI maps its line-item audit back to the NetSuite line so the controller can see, and book, the split.
The connection uses OAuth 2.0 client credentials with a certificate uploaded in NetSuite, tied to a dedicated integration role. The role has view permissions on expense, employee, and accounting records, plus edit permission on a single custom line field that Phyto Nex AI installs: the deductibility percentage. It cannot create transactions, approve reports, or post journals.
Tax classification writes only happen after AP approves the classification in Phyto Nex AI. A client dinner line becomes 50% deductible, a golf outing line becomes 0% under IRC section 274(a), and a company-wide holiday party line can be set to 100% under section 274(e)(4). Your tax team can then build saved searches or SuiteQL reports on that field for the M-1 meals and entertainment adjustment.
Multi-subsidiary NetSuite OneWorld accounts are supported. Each subsidiary can carry its own policy set and currency, and findings roll up to the parent for the CFO view.
Teams that run expense reports through NetSuite's native employee center can connect Phyto Nex AI directly to NetSuite without a separate expense platform. In that setup, Phyto Nex AI reads expense report lines and attached receipt files from the file cabinet, audits them, and the drafted messages go out through Slack, Teams or email as usual. Supervisors keep approving in NetSuite, and Phyto Nex AI's verdict can be surfaced to them through a saved search or a custom subtab so they see which lines were flagged before they approve the report.

No. Phyto Nex AI writes a deductibility percentage to one custom line field after AP approval. Reclass entries, if your team wants them, are created by your accountants or your existing automation.
Yes. TBA is supported for accounts that have not enabled OAuth 2.0 client credentials. The role permissions are identical.
NetSuite sync is included on Growth and Enterprise. Mid-Market includes one expense platform plus one ERP, which can be NetSuite.
