About the role
Every customer arrives with a travel and expense policy written for humans. It says things like 'reasonable meal costs' and 'economy class unless the flight exceeds six hours'. Phyto Nex AI needs that intent turned into rules with thresholds, exceptions for executives and regional per diems for Pune, Austin and Frankfurt. That translation is where implementations succeed or stall.
You will run 6 to 10 implementations at a time, mostly with US mid-market customers, working US-overlap hours from India. You will lead kickoff calls, map policies, configure connectors with customer IT, review the first two weeks of flags with AP managers and decide which rules need tuning. Our current median time to first live audit is 9 business days. We want it lower.
You will report to Shreya and work alongside two implementation managers and our support team. Our customers range from a 280-person SaaS company with one Ramp program to a 1,900-person engineering services firm with three subsidiaries, two expense platforms and a DCAA-audited government contracts unit. Every implementation teaches us something about how real policies are written and broken. The best people in this role are patient translators: they can sit with a frustrated AP manager, a cautious HR leader and a skeptical IT admin in the same week and leave each of them confident the rollout is in good hands.
What you will do
- Lead onboarding for new customers from kickoff through first live audit and handoff to customer success.
- Translate T&E handbooks into rule configurations, role-based tiers and per diem tables.
- Coordinate read-only connector setup with customer IT across Concur, Ramp, Brex, Expensify and Navan.
- Review early flags with AP teams, tune thresholds and keep the false positive rate under agreed targets.
- Configure Slack and Teams pushback agent tone settings with HR and finance stakeholders.
- Document repeatable playbooks and feed product gaps back to the roadmap.
What you bring
- 4+ years in SaaS implementation, solutions consulting or finance systems roles.
- Working knowledge of expense management platforms and AP processes.
- Ability to read a T&E policy and spot ambiguity, conflicts and missing thresholds.
- Strong project management across several concurrent customers.
- Comfortable working 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM IST at least three days a week for US customers.
Nice to have
- Chartered accountant, CPA or similar finance background.
- Hands-on experience administering SAP Concur or NetSuite.
- Exposure to DCAA or FAR 31.205-46 travel cost requirements.
