Phyto Nex AI for Slack

The Phyto Nex AI Slack app is the channel most employees actually answer. When AP approves a drafted pushback, the app sends a direct message that names the expense, shows the flagged line item, quotes the handbook clause, and offers buttons: add a business purpose, upload an itemized receipt, mark the line as personal, or ask AP a question.

The app requests the smallest scope set that can do the job. It cannot read channels, message history, or files outside its own DMs. There is no channels:history or files:read scope, and the app is never added to a public channel. A workspace admin installs it once; on Enterprise Grid, an org admin can install it across every workspace.

Every button click is sent back to Phyto Nex AI as an interactivity request signed with your app's signing secret, verified before any state changes. A click on Mark as personal records the employee's acknowledgment and moves the line into the AP deduction queue; the actual repayment or payroll deduction is still approved by AP.

Messages respect time zones. A rep in Denver gets their nudge at 9:40 local time, not at 2 a.m. because AP in Bengaluru approved it overnight. Quiet hours and weekend holds are configurable per department.

Slack Enterprise Grid customers can install the app once at the org level and choose which workspaces it appears in. Data residency follows your Phyto Nex AI tenant, either US or India, and the app's message content is limited to the expense facts needed to resolve the flag: merchant, date, amount, the flagged line and the clause. Card numbers, bank details and full receipt images are never posted to Slack. Employees who need to see the full receipt tap View receipt, which opens a short-lived signed link in Phyto Nex AI rather than uploading the image into your workspace.
